History

The CPA firm currently known as Thomas and Ridge CPAs has gone through many changes since its inception in 1979. When James P. Thomas CPA (Jim) joined the firm in 1983, he had seven years of public accounting experience. The firm grew to three offices, four partners and a staff of 24. As managing partner, Jim was spending less and less of his time providing the personalized, proactive service that had made the firm successful. In 1995, the Lima and Wapakoneta offices were turned over to the partners in those areas. Jim was then able to return doing what he enjoyed most, serving clients. Robin L. Ridge CPA joined the firm in 1989. Her previous experience included three years of public accounting in Cleveland, Ohio. On January 1, 2001, Robin made the much deserved move to partner status. The staff of D. L. Chambers Company joined forces with Thomas and Ridge on August 1, 2002, and in late April, 2003 moved into the W. Hardin Street office. After six years of partnership with Jim, Robin became the sole owner of the firm on July 1, 2007.

With a current staff of ten, Thomas and Ridge CPAs is small enough to provide personalized service, yet large enough to provide quality professional service.

Despite many changes over the last 28 years, Thomas and Ridge CPAs continues to provide the same quality, personalized service that its founders gave in 1979.
